Hello! Welcome to my blog. My name is Janet Nordine. I am a “baby-scoop” era adoptee and an advocate for adoptee rights. I am a Nevada Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Registered Play Therapist and a Trust Based Relational Intervention Practitioner (TBRI). For the past 6 years, I have worked exclusively with children in the foster care system, who are in the process of adoption, and who have been adopted. I am the co-facilitator of the Las Vegas Adoptees Connect group
My hope is to share my thoughts, ideas, experiences and some “how tos” on living life with courage and how it feels to be adopted. I am an expert on being adopted. I have been doing it my whole life. I have a unique perspective and, I understand the clinical aspects of adoption trauma and I work with children who are in the process of being adopted.
I also am a public speaker and available to speak on adoption, living a life that feels fulfilling, LDS topics, Women and Family themes, and recovery from sexual, emotional and physical abuse.
