About Me
As a lifelong resident of Las Vegas, I have a deep understanding of its unique culture and pace. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the hotel industry, which gave me insight into the fast-paced, service-oriented nature of Las Vegas life. Outside my office, I love exploring the local food scene, attending live theater performances, the Vegas Golden Knights games, traveling, and expressing my creativity through writing and personal experiences.
I have been a therapist for almost 20 years, and my practice is trauma-informed, meaning I approach therapy with a deep understanding of how trauma affects the mind and body. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help individuals process and heal from past trauma in a safe and effective way.
Having raised children in the local school district, I bring both personal and professional knowledge about the challenges and rewards of life in Las Vegas. My passion for helping foster children runs deep, having spent over a decade supporting this community. As a foster care alumnus, I profoundly connect to their experiences and work to create a safe, nurturing space for those who need it most.
As the only Play Therapy Supervisor in private practice in Las Vegas, I am committed to elevating the field of Play Therapy and providing guidance to other professionals who want to deepen their skills in working with children. I am a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist (2024) and have completed my training with Playful EMDR (2024), expanding my ability to support clients with advanced trauma-informed techniques. Additionally, I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor through the Association for Play Therapy (www.a4pt.org), a Level 1 Theraplay Practitioner with the Theraplay Institute, and a Trust-Based Relational Intervention Practitioner with the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University.
I am also an Advanced Training and Certification Candidate with The West Coast Institute of Gestalt Therapy with Children and Adolescents, and a Synergetic Play Therapy Introduction Level Trained therapist with a Certificate Candidate for 2024. These credentials reflect my commitment to continual growth and the highest standards of therapeutic practice.
Additionally, I am an Approved AAMFT Supervisor, helping to mentor and supervise the next generation of therapists in the field.
